A function-first assessment
Your first step is an assessment of the concern, the activities it affects, and relevant health history. The clinician may examine mobility, strength, sensitivity, and movement patterns before discussing whether chiropractic care is appropriate.
Some presentations require medical assessment, imaging, or another professional perspective. When that is the safer or more useful direction, the goal is to coordinate rather than continue with an unsuitable approach.
Care may include
- Hands-on joint or soft-tissue techniques
- Exercise and movement retraining
- Education about activity, pacing, and self-management
- Progress reviews based on function and goals
Specific techniques are selected with your preferences, clinical findings, and any relevant precautions in mind.
Part of a coordinated pathway
Chiropractic care can stand alone or contribute to a broader plan. Your clinician may recommend collaboration with physiotherapy, medical care, or another service only when it adds a clear purpose.
